FORGETTING TO BLEND
Whether you're applying shadow or blush, lots of blending is a must. "Softer edges are better unless you want to look theatrical," Chantal sags. And, trust us, you don't want that. Go for darling, not doll-faced.
KILLING IT WITH COLOR
If you'rs gonna go for brights, sweep the shade on lightly. Eyes look best with a "wash" of strong shadow, not a cake job. Want major lips? Apply color, blot with a tissue and then swipe on some gloss.
DROWNING IN BRONZER
Don't treat the fake bake as a second foundation. "Sometimes girls forget less is more," Chantal warns. Hit the high spots on your face (forehead, cheeks and down the middle of gout nose) and that's it.
GOING SUPER MATCHY
Applying makeup in too-similar shades (like, say, gold or pink on your lips and lids) is simply overkill. Remember: If you play up your pout, keep your eyes lowkey ... and vice versa.
